JAC lays charges on KYKL

Imphal, June 5: The JAC against the brutal killing of Prof. Islamuddin has charged KYKL of wrong deeds and said that the ONK of KYKL in an attempt to bring quality education has caused the loss of many innocent poor lives as they only support the capitalists.

The JAC further said that those capitalists who work against the people were spared by KYKL in exchange with large sum of money and also those who are produced by KYKL in public for their wrong works and made to resign from their jobs were still working in the government office. Some of the instances were, Former Commissioner of Education I.S. Laishram; former Joint Director of Education (S) Geeta Devi; former Director of Education (U) and former Principal of LMS Law College Dr Kiranchand; former Senior Grade Lecturer of Kha Manipur College, Kakching Joy Khaidem.

Also the ONK openly announced to give punishment to former MLA of Nambol constituency and also former Union Minister Thounaojam Chaoba but still not a single step had been taken.

The JAC maintained that if Prof Islamuddin is one among the capitalist and if he is able to give large sum of money he would be survive.

It also said that looking into the condition of MU after the killing of Prof Islamuddin the JAC strongly felt that the MU authority is not trying to bring the academic atmosphere to normalcy, and instead keeping silent which clearly shows that they are also involved. 

It said that the JAC had fully prepared to bring out the culprit and also sought help from public to book the culprit. (IFP)

Financial literacy campaign

Imphal, June 01 2009: A campaign on utilizing money in proper way was conducted at Sheema Theatre, Thoubal Bazar today as a part of ongoing awareness campaign of the National Alliance for Financial Literacy (NEFA) in collaboration with Bank Project, RDO, Lamshang with the assistance from the City Bank Centre. NAGALAND GOVERNOR ACHARYA VISITS INA MUSEUM AT MOIRANG

IMPHAL, Mar 5 (NEPS):  Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya along with his lady wife visits Indian National Army (INA) Museum at Moirang, Manipur on Wednesday. The Indian National Army (INA) War Museum in the INA Memorial Complex in Moirang is the only official museum dedicated to the Second World War in Manipur today. Its focus is primarily on the rise of the INA and on the role and activities of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in particular.
